Is ClientBuild only for main contractors?
No — it's built for the whole industry. Main contractors, design & build firms, developers, electricians, plumbing & heating engineers, joiners, landscapers — any trade running projects with budgets, bills and clients. Trade sections are fully customisable to how your business works.
What does "own-branded client portal" mean?
Every client you invite sees a portal carrying your company logo and branding — not ours. You control exactly what they see: progress, valuations, drawings and choices — never your internal margins or supplier costs.
Does it connect to Xero?
Xero integration is in development and will be included in the standard £59 price at no extra cost. Bills and invoices auto-sync both ways, so you enter something once and it's there — no double adding, no re-keying at month end. Email support@clientbuild.co.uk to be notified when it goes live.
Do I need a card to start the trial?
No. Sign up and you get 14 full days of everything, no card required. If you decide to continue, add your card and you'll be billed £59/month from day 15.
How does the AI bill capture handle VAT and CIS?
Upload a photo or PDF of any invoice and the figures are read for you — supplier, invoice number, date, net, VAT and gross, with CIS tracked where it applies. You assign the trade section it belongs to, and your budget updates instantly. The original document is stored against the project so you always have the paperwork.
What does the generated invoice actually look like?
It comes out as a proper letter on your own letterhead — your logo, your client's address, a reference line, and every work item listed with the percentage claimed this month. Sub total, retention and VAT are calculated for you, with the grand total due clearly set out. Save it as a PDF and send it straight to your client.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, with automated daily backups and versioned snapshots. You own your data and can export it at any time.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel with one click from the billing portal and you won't be charged again.
